Application for the 3rd Maritime SheEO Leadership Program is now open. The program is part of IMO’s 20 scholarship program. The deadline for applications is until Feb 20, 2023.
The course
The 4-month short course trains women in critical thinking, problem-solving & financial acumen. It is also a ground to level up networking, personal brand, and one’s reputation. The course also allows the participants to learn leadership skills and manage teams. Personal aspirations; learning how to manage and reach one’s career goal is also included in the package. In addition to that, digitalizing the working environment and becoming familiar with technology are also taught in the course. You will also learn to solve conflicts in the work environment.
The main contents of the course are;
- Growth Mindset
Which include Personal Awareness, My Aspirations & Strengths, and Dealing with Failure & Rejection.
- Strategic Acumen
Which include Critical Thinking, Decision Making Models, and Balancing Data with Judgement.
- Leadership
Includes Decoding Situational Leadership, Working with hi-performance teams, and Collaboration & Coaching mindset.
- Personal Brand
Consist of Building a personal brand, Creating & leveraging networks, And Using digital & video tools.
Who could Take Part in the SheEo course?
Any women working in the industry and looking forward to progressing in their maritime career can participate in the course. Non-scholarship applications are also welcomed. furthermore, course consists of online content and which could be excessed up to six months from the start of the course and live sessions taken via zoom.
Maritime SheEo Certificate
Individual tasks will be given in the course and participants who complete all the tasks will get to complete the course. At the end of successful completion, participants will be awarded the completion certificate which will help them exceed in their careers and leadership roles.
Though the Maritime SheEo is a commitment of 3 – 4 months, participants have to invest around 2-3 hours a week on average throughout the course.
