The Maldives will attend: The Maldives attends the Indo-Pacific 2022 International Maritime Exposition. Colonel Ibrahim Hilmy held a bilateral meeting with the Chief of Naval Staff of the Malaysian Navy, Admiral Tan Sri Mohd Reza Mohd Sany, today. The meeting was held in Australia during the ongoing “Indo Pacific 2022 International Maritime Exposition”, which runs in Sydney from May 10th to May 12th, 2022.
MNDF chief of defense Major General Abdulla Shamaal also joined a virtual conference yesterday with US Indo-Commander, ADM Aquilino, and other leaders to discuss ways to address the security implications of climate change. The discussion also helped to network and strengthen the Maldives Defense Force.
The Indo Pacific 2022 International Maritime Exposition focuses on defense equipment acquisition and materiel, security, marine transport, cargo handling port services, environmental affairs, and maritime technology across the globe emphasizing the Asian and Indo-Pacific regions making it the best gateway to explore military equipment and developers. New equipment was introduced by Royal Australian Navy (RAN) includes major new vessels.

The event is organized by The Royal Institution of Naval Architects, The Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology, and Engineers Australia. It is not only attended by Military chiefs and decision makers but also tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers, prime contractors, small to medium businesses and universities, and research institutes. The face to face event features an excellent delegations management system connecting exhibitors with delegates.
On Tuesday, 40 Navy Chiefs and senior Navy leaders invited by RAN from around the world gathered at Darling Harbor for the event. The delegates discuss the latest technology and development in marine engineering and technology in defense and commercial shipping. The event is the only event of its kind in the region helping in business development, relationship development, market research, and supply chain development in navy and commercial shipping.
China and Russia were not invited to this year’s Indo Pacific 2022 International Maritime Exposition. The Maldives attends the Indo Pacific 2022 International Maritime Exposition.
