Around 02:45 a.m., the MNDF Coast Guard Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC) received a report of an incident.

Following the receipt of the report, the MNDF Northern Area Coast Guard was dispatched to the area to assist the 35-foot landing craft transporting two containers of cement from K.Male’ to Lh.Maabinhura. Around 06:51 a.m. today, the landing craft that capsized near Lh.Thilamaafushi became completely submerged.
