The International Monetary Organization, IMO e-learning platform or portal has been launched. IMO is expanding its service offerings to include e-learning. The first free online course was introduced on April 7th, in conjunction with its Pollution Prevention and Response (PPR) Sub-Committee meeting.
The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has created a variety of e-Learning courses to help Member States better execute IMO instruments. Some courses are also offered to anybody interested in marine concerns who wants to improve their understanding of the subject.
The first of these courses is “An Introduction to Oil Pollution Preparedness, Response, and Cooperation,” which is intended to provide a basic introduction to those who are involved in, or have an interest in, matters related to oil pollution preparedness and response, whether from the oil spill response community or the maritime sector.
