Kalmar delivered three T2i Terminal Tractors to Maldives Ports Limited (MPL).
This week, Kalmar delivered three T2i Terminal Tractors to Maldives Ports Limited (MPL). The presentation of these tractors took place in a ceremony held at Male Commercial Harbour.
Both MPL and Kalmar’s partners and staff members attended the ceremony. MPL initially procured equipment from Kalmar in 2007, and the partnership has developed significantly since that time.
MPL signed agreement and ordered the tractors in Cargotec’s 2022 Q2 order intake, with delivery scheduled for early Q1 2023.

Their after-sales customer services are unrivalled due to their responsiveness and rapid assistance in relation to any queries we raise. Additionally, Kalmar continues to provide our vehicle and equipment operators with comprehensive training programmes. Which ensure safe and cost-efficient operation of our terminal resources.”

Speaking about the tractors Senior Sales Engineer of Kalmar Calvin Chong said, “Our terminal tractors are known for their high uptime, their ability to operate in even the harshest conditions, and the excellent visibility they offer for drivers, which helps to increase safety in demanding container-handling operations.”
These newly acquired tractors will contribute to enhancing the efficiency of cargo transportation and boosting overall operational efficiency. MPL has also introduced a Semi-CFS operations service at Male’ Commercial Harbour. These addtions will help traders and enhance the port operation.
