Malé port is a fairly minor port in the Maldives. Malé is the world’s eighth most densely populated island, as well as the world’s 160th most populous island.
Due to the lack of surrounding countryside, all infrastructure must be located within the city. The majority of shipping agencies, businesses, and technical consultants are located on the waterfront.
