In your country, will you be commemorating World Maritime Day? If so, please share with IMO how you intend to highlight the theme.
Seafarers: at the core of shipping’s future
The International Maritime Organization (IMO) encourages people to send photos to media@imo.org or use the hashtag #WorldMaritimeDay. IMO is looking forward to seeing what you’ve come up with! https://t.co/z2fuK5wvPX
Every year, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) chooses a theme to draw attention to the importance of shipping safety and security, as well as the prevention of marine and atmospheric pollution by ships, as well as to highlight a specific aspect of the organization’s work. A dedicated logo for the selected theme is created to aid in its promotion.
The logo for the World Maritime Theme is only available in the six official languages of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), and it has not been translated into any other language. This logo is available for non-commercial use only, to promote the World Maritime theme.
Although this logo is copyrighted, it may be freely reproduced in any format or medium as long as it is reproduced accurately and not in a misleading context. All users are asked to contact IMO at logo@imo.org to let them know how they are using the logo.
The logo for the World Maritime Theme is available as a JPEG in RGB colors in all six official languages. TIFF, EPS, and PNG files in CMYK and grayscale are also available. If a specific format is needed for a specific purpose, users can contact logo@imo.org.
The theme for this year’s World Maritime Day is “Seafarers: at the core of shipping’s future,” and the logo for it, as well as downloadable links, can be found below:
